I finished inking all 24 pages of the first chapter of Idle Spirits today and right on schedule. I can't believe I'll be starting in on the chapter 2 pencils tomorrow. I'd show one of the pages, but I'm right in the middle of moving my site to a new web host, so...that will have to wait.

Although I've - surprisingly - managed to stay on schedule, I acknowledged I am a human being (no way!), and should probably schedule time for me to just take a break. To, you know, go out in the world, let my friends now I'm alive. So, for every four days of drawing, I'll give myself a day off (now, whether I'll actually use it...) And I'll still be able to finish a chapter in a month's time.

I finished writing chapter 2 last week, and will probably be done with chapter 3 within the next two weeks. It'd be shorter, but my attention is divided by another writing project. I'll probably take a short break after chapter 4, since that will conclude the first story arc.

But I can't wait until chapter 4, which introduces Manasa. I anticipate a lot of people thinking Derica is like me, for very superficial reasons. But Manasa is the character I identify the most with.
